I offer two types of consultations to best support your tattoo journey:
Video Consultations (Phone or Zoom): These are offered free of charge as they allow us to connect conveniently without requiring travel or additional expenses.
In-Person Consultations: These sessions carry a fee because attending the studio involves costs such as workspace rental, transportation, and time dedicated exclusively to your consultation. This fee helps cover those expenses and ensures I can provide you with focused, professional guidance.
I appreciate your understanding that the in-person consultation fee reflects the commitment of time and resources necessary to offer you the best possible service.
Below are the terms, with examples for clarity:
Non-refundable and Non-Transferable Fees
The consultation fee is tied exclusively to the design discussed during that session.
For example:
If you pay $50 for a consultation about a floral sleeve, but later decide to change it to a geometric back piece, the $50 cannot be applied toward the new consultation or tattoo design. A new consultation fee will be required.
Booking Your Appointment After the Consultation
Example:
When you book an in-person consultation, the $100 fee covers the time and resources dedicated solely to the consultation itself. Please note that this fee is not transferable toward the cost of a future tattoo appointment, as it cannot be allocated in the booking system or guarantee a booking will occur.
Even if you decide not to proceed with a tattoo session, the consultation fee compensates for the time and expertise provided during our meeting.
Consultations for Cover-Ups and Sleeves
Example:
You attend a consultation for a cover-up of an old tattoo. During the session, Juliany determines that the current tattoo cannot be effectively covered with your chosen design. The service may be declined, and the consultation fee will not be refunded as it covers the assessment and expert advice provided during the session.
Free Consultation Option
Example:
If you want an overview of the process or have general questions, you can request a 30-minute phone or Zoom call at no charge. This option is ideal for exploring ideas without the commitment of an in-person consultation.
Consultation Time Limit
In-person consultations are capped at 90 minutes.
Example:
If the discussion about your intricate design exceeds the 90-minute time frame, an additional free video consultation will be offered.
This policy ensures the value of time and expertise while providing flexibility and transparency to clients.
By the time and date booked, Juliany will either call you or share a link for a video call via Teams (No account necessary, app only).
During the 30 min you get to explain your vision in more details, show the placement if you wish (video), ask for professional advise or any questions you may have, and also meet Juliany.
When booking a design session, the payment is for the time spent discussing and working on the specific design during the session. Below are the terms with detailed examples to clarify how this works:
Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable Fees
The design fee is tied exclusively to the discussed design and is non-transferable.
Example 1:
You pay $100 for a design about a floral forearm tattoo. Later, you decide you want a geometric shoulder piece instead. In this case, if you wish for another design appointment the $100 won't cover the new design consultation, and you will need to pay a new consultation fee.
Example 2:
You booked a design session for a dragon back piece and decided later to get a floral. The $100 paid covered that designing session regardless if you get it tattooed or not.
No Credit Toward Different Tattoos or Fees
If you later request a completely different design, the design fee cannot be used as credit toward a consultation or any tattoo fees.
Example 1:
You came to a design session for a small floral wrist tattoo and later decided to upgrade to a sleeve design. The fee paid for the design will not apply to the sleeve tattoo consultation or its associated design cost.
Example 2:
After getting a custom animal portrait designed in person with Julie, you decide to switch to a text-based tattoo. The fee from the original design covered that session will not be credited toward the new request.
Separate Consultations for New Designs
Example:
If you had a design session for a mandala thigh tattoo and later want to discuss a black-and-gray arm piece, a new consultation fee will be charged because the new design requires a separate discussion and planning process.
This policy is designed to ensure clarity and fairness, acknowledging the time and effort involved in each unique consultation.
When you book time to work on your tattoo design with Juliany, your payment covers the artist’s time, creative process, and transportation expenses.
Each design session is scheduled from 30 minutes to 1H30 minutes.
If the design is not finalized within this timeframe due to uncertainties, client indecision, or ongoing requests for changes, the session will conclude at the scheduled time regardless of completion status.
Creating art is a collaborative process that requires a balance of trust and respect for the artist’s professional judgment. While your input is invaluable, trusting Juliany’s expertise allows the design to evolve into its best form.
At the end of the session, you will be presented with the final sketch, composition, or collage created. Juliany may continue refining the design independently up until the tattoo appointment day.
To protect confidentiality and maintain artistic integrity, no photos, videos, or sharing of the design via email or other means is permitted during or after the design session.
Juliany reserves the right to refuse further work if a mutual agreement cannot be reached that results in full satisfaction for both client and artist.
The final results will be emailed to you with proper copyrights and stencils.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
If you wish to request a design without directly booking with Juliany, specifically a cost will be attributed to the consultation, artwork, + stencil files that will be sold to you in PDF/PNG or JPEG format.
Prices may vary, minimum cost of $50. All is subject to further consultation - Check further commission rates here: https://www.florafiora.shop/comissions
I like to offer a one free touch-up within the first 6 months of getting your tattoo.
This policy ensures that your tattoo looks its best for years to come.
It's important to note that the longer it goes between the initial tattoo and the touch-up, the inks start to settle, possibly fade a bit from sun exposure or whatever, and the colors are not an exact match anymore. Therefore, the touch-up is not just for re-hitting a line or a small patch of color that was missed or fell out, but to ensure the overall integrity and vibrancy of your tattoo. We recommend scheduling your touch-up within the 6-month timeframe to maintain the quality and appearance of your tattoo.
in some specific circumstances I charge for touch ups:
If the original tattoo isn't mine
If show visible signs of picking/itching/scratching
If aftercare was not followed correctly
For that I need a picture of the tattoo with the touch-up request so I can better analyze it.
if you wish to get an old piece refurbished, a tattoo that was not originally tattooed by Juliany or you exceeded the 6 months for a free touch up (when tattooed with Juliany). This is why this option is offered.
Juliany has the right to refuse touch-ups, so a consultation is recommended before booking.
You can submit a request on general contact.
