As an artist, I prioritize quality over time, so my pricing is based on the work required to create your tattoo — not simply the hours spent tattooing. This approach allows us to focus on the craftsmanship, complexity, and resources needed to bring your unique vision to life.
Additional Pricing Considerations:
Custom Artwork Fee: Included in all quotes. Price reflects time spent on design, research, and preparation.
Materials & Supplies: Complex tattoos with multiple colours or special techniques may cost more due to materials and skillset.
Cover-Ups & Reworks: Priced higher due to increased complexity and additional time.
Touch-Ups: One free touch-up offered within 6 months; charges apply under specific circumstances (see policy).
Here’s how pricing works:
Design Complexity:
The cost reflects the intricacy of your tattoo. For example, a 5-hour session with a simple design and minimal shading might cost around $500, whereas a similarly timed session with detailed, complex work could cost $1,200 due to the added skill and effort.
Materials and Supplies:
Pricing also considers the materials required. Tattoos involving multiple colours, fine details, or special techniques can be more expensive than larger but simpler pieces — even if the time is the same.
Custom Artwork:
Every design is a unique, custom creation tailored to your ideas. More elaborate pieces require additional preparation, research, and planning, all factored into the price.
Session Structure:
Prices reflect the overall scope and value of the art, expertise, and materials — not a fixed hourly rate.
Session Booking & Payment:
Sessions are booked in blocks of 1 hour or more.
Deposits are required to secure appointments.
No last-minute session extensions without prior arrangement. Additional time can be booked as add-ons.
The price of your tattoo is based primarily on the complexity of the design and any additional work required (such as cover-ups), rather than the exact number of hours it takes to complete. While I provide an estimate of how long your tattoo may take, the final price remains consistent based on the agreed-upon design and its complexity.
If the Tattoo Takes Less Time Than Expected:
You will still be charged the agreed price because it reflects the skill, planning, materials, and expertise involved—not just the time spent. For example:
If a tattoo is quoted for 4 hours but only takes 3 due to quick revisions or smooth sessions, the price remains the same as the original quote.
If the Tattoo Takes More Time Than Expected:
The price will also remain the same, with no extra charge for longer sessions, except in cases where new design changes or additions are requested during the session, which may incur additional fees. For example:
If a cover-up is quoted for 5 hours but takes 6 due to unforeseen complexity, the original price stands because it reflects the expertise required.
Cover-Ups:
Cover-up tattoos are priced higher due to the extra time, planning, and skill needed to conceal existing tattoos effectively. Whether the session takes more or less time than expected, the price remains the same because it accounts for the specialized work involved.
Real-Life Examples:
Detailed floral piece: Quoted at $4,000 for 4 full-day sessions. Actual time taken: 3 sessions. Price: $4,000.
Cover-up tattoo: Quoted at $900 for a 5-hour session. Actual time taken: 6 hours, including extra detail. Price: $900.
Single piece: Started a 5-hour session and realized the design would need more time, and couldn't accommodate it on that day. Booked a second session to complete. Second session booked without extra charges.
I will always keep you informed if I anticipate that your tattoo will take more or less time than estimated.
This pricing policy ensures fairness, transparency, and respect for the artist’s time, skill, and preparation. If you have any concerns or questions about timing or pricing, please don’t hesitate to discuss them during your consultation.

Tipping your tattoo artist is customary—much like tipping restaurant staff—but it is never required or expected.
If you love your tattoo and want to show extra appreciation, tipping is a generous gesture, but please never feel obligated to tip a high percentage amount or any amount beyond your comfort.
Tips in cash are preferred, though cards are also accepted for your convenience.
If you have any concerns or feel something isn’t going well—whether during consultation, design, or the tattoo itself—please talk directly with the artist. A small tip, or even no tip, should never be your only way of expressing dissatisfaction; the artist will not understand it as such. I want to ensure your experience is great and can only improve if you communicate openly.
And please: don’t apologize for being unable to tip. While tips are appreciated, they are completely optional, and your comfort and satisfaction matter most; you can leave your feedback instead.
Tipping is always your choice, and I’m grateful for every kind word and every client who trusts my work.
I understand that tattoos are a meaningful investment, and sometimes the initial quote might not fit comfortably within your budget — and that’s completely okay!
To help with this, my consultation form includes an option for you to share your ideal budget. This helps me understand if your tattoo idea and budget are aligned from the start.
I encourage open and honest communication about any financial concerns or adjustments you may need. Together, we can create a plan that breaks your dream tattoo into manageable steps while staying true to your vision.
Here are some ways we can work together:
Adjusting the size or complexity of the design to better align with your budget.
Breaking the tattoo into smaller sessions so costs can be spread over time.
I’m currently working on offering payment plans for tattoo sessions — stay tuned for updates!
Discussing installment payment options for larger or more intricate projects.
Creating a long-term design plan tailored to your chosen body area, building a cohesive collection over time.
Aligning Your Request with Your Budget:
Knowing your budget allows me to tailor your design and size to match your intended expense, ensuring the tattoo meets your expectations without exceeding your financial comfort zone.
Offering Design Modifications:
If your requested design is outside of your budget, I can suggest modifications to simplify the design or adjust its scale while preserving its artistic essence.
Providing Installment Options:
For larger projects or higher-cost designs, I can offer installment payment options. This makes it easier for you to invest in your tattoo over time without financial strain.
Promoting Inclusivity and Accessibility:
Tattoos should be a form of expression accessible to everyone. By considering budgets and offering flexible options, I strive to make my art inclusive and available to a diverse range of clients.
Your tattoo is a true collaboration, and I’m here to help you find a path that respects both your artistic vision and your finances.
This approach ensures that your tattoo experience is both personalized and financially manageable while maintaining the integrity and quality of the artwork. If you have questions or need assistance with pricing or payment options, please feel free to discuss them with me.
Revisions beyond the originally agreed-upon scope(different elements not mentioned beforehand), extended time spent on approvals - over 30 minutes, or last-minute design changes mid-tattoo, your appointment will incur additional charges. These fees reflect the extra effort, time, and resources needed to accommodate your requests.
If your session requires extra time due to these factors, I will inform you promptly so we can adjust plans accordingly.
To avoid unexpected extra charges and ensure your vision is clear before your tattoo day, I highly recommend booking a dedicated design session.
Design sessions are $50 per 30 minutes of focused collaboration, allowing us to discuss, refine, and approve your design in detail—either in person or via video call.
This gives you the space to make decisions and explore variations without pressure.
If major changes are needed during your tattoo appointment without a prior design session, a design fee may apply, and the tattoo day could require rescheduling.
Booking a design session helps us work efficiently on tattoo day and ensures your artwork perfectly aligns with your expectations.
If you request to divide your tattoo into multiple sessions or reschedule any part of your appointment, additional fees may apply. These fees help cover the extra time, preparation, and materials involved in adjusting the schedule to accommodate your needs.
Each session requires careful planning, setup, and sterilization of equipment, as well as allocation of studio time. When appointments are split or rescheduled, these factors can increase the overall resources and effort required to deliver the highest quality work.
By charging these additional fees, I ensure that every session receives the same level of professional care and attention, and that the costs of supplies and preparation are fairly covered.
If you anticipate needing to divide or reschedule sessions, please let me know as early as possible so we can plan accordingly and minimize any extra charges.
Personal Emergencies
Life is unpredictable — sometimes situations arise that are beyond our control. Both the artist and client have the right to cancel or interrupt an appointment if necessary, under circumstances such as:
I am unwell or a close family member requires immediate medical attention and my support.
The recent passing of a family member.
Unexpected long-distance travel delays or cancellations (for appointments requiring travel over 2 hours, between provinces or countries).
As the client, if you feel unwell, are in pain, sick, or unsafe to continue, please communicate this immediately — your well-being is the top priority.
How Emergencies Are Handled:
If the tattoo has not started, your deposit will be fully transferred to a new date.
If the tattoo is in progress, your deposit will cover the time spent so far, and no new deposit will be required for rescheduling.
If you’re in a paid design session and the tattoo hasn’t started, you’ll only be charged for the time spent, and your tattoo session will be rescheduled accordingly.
If the design session is incomplete, we will book a separate design session as soon as possible to continue the process.
Thank you for your kindness and understanding — I deeply value the trust and collaboration it takes to create meaningful art together.
Holding Space for Integrity
Creating beautiful tattoos requires presence, safety, and intention. If I am facing an emergency or am in a state where I cannot give you my best work, I will never compromise the quality of your experience or the tattoo itself.
In times of illness or unforeseen emotional distress, I may need to pause, reschedule, or redirect our session to ensure every piece is created with the care and artistry it deserves.
Please understand that tattooing is more than a service — it’s a collaborative journey that thrives when both artist and client are grounded and well.
Emergencies don’t cancel our work — they simply pause it until it’s safe and possible to continue.
Thank you for your compassion and flexibility.
