Frequently asked questions
I believe the best tattoos are born through co-creation — blending your personal ideas, experiences, deep emotions, and life story with my own artistic vision and aesthetic. When you share your story, you’re inviting me into your world. My role is to translate it into a visual piece that reflects both your essence and my interpretation as an artist.
You’ll have the opportunity to share your inspiration and vision through my consultation and booking form. From there, I take full creative responsibility for interpreting your references and story. With over 10 years of professional tattooing experience and a strong background in multiple art disciplines, I have the knowledge, portfolio, and expertise to create something unique. I ask that you trust the process.
I work exclusively in my own style and only with original designs.
I do not copy tattoos from reference photos.
All designs are one-of-a-kind and hand-drawn, either on paper or digitally in Procreate.
Some designs may be created as digital collages from original photographs to form entirely new compositions.
Each design reflects my skills, experience, and artistic sensibility, ready to be placed on the right human canvas.
Please note: Requests for styles outside my portfolio may be declined or referred to another artist whose work is better aligned with your vision. This ensures you receive the highest quality result while I remain true to my craft.
Your Role in the Process When you choose me as your artist, you agree to:
Respect my time, skill, and creative process.
Collaborate through my booking system and communication channels.
Understand that my aesthetic preferences and artistic boundaries help protect the quality of your final tattoo.
Before booking, I encourage you to explore my Instagram portfolio and FAQ page to ensure our styles align. Transparency is key to a smooth, rewarding collaboration.
If We’re Not the Right Fit When you choose me as your artist, I will never decline a request without careful, professional consideration. However, I do have my artistic sensibilities and comfort zones regarding placement, composition, and style. To make sure we’re a good match, please:
Browse my Instagram portfolio.
Review my FAQ page to learn more about my style, ethics, and process.
If I feel our visions aren’t fully compatible, I may kindly cancel the session and refer you to another artist. If that happens, your deposit will be refunded, minus the design consultation fee.
Design Sessions For clients who want more input on the design process, I offer paid in-person Design Sessions at $50 per 30 minutes.
If a major change is requested on the tattoo day, the session may need to be rescheduled to allow adequate time for the new design.
If the request is outside my style or scope, I may decline the project and refund your deposit minus the design fee.
If we proceed, your deposit will transfer to your new tattoo date.
By booking with me, you acknowledge and accept these terms. This structure allows us to collaborate freely, without unnecessary pressure, and ensures that your tattoo remains aligned with both your vision and my artistic integrity.
Let’s create something beautiful — together.
I truly believe that the best tattoos come from clear communication and mutual understanding. My goal is to fully understand your vision, preferences, and tattoo goals before we even start designing.
🖋 Tattoo Form Completion Please take your time and fill out the tattoo form with patience and care. I’ve included plenty of space for you to describe your idea in detail — from imagery and placement to style and meaning. The more information you share, the better I can create a design that truly aligns with your expectations.
💬 Consultations (If Needed) For larger or more complex projects, such as sleeves, back pieces, or cover-ups, I may suggest a free video consultation or paid design session. This allows us to discuss your concept in depth, refine ideas, and ensure we’re on the same page before moving forward.
💲 Providing Quotes If your form is incomplete or missing key details, I may need to pause the process and request more information before providing a quote. This helps me ensure that any estimate is accurate and based on a clear, well-thought-out plan — avoiding surprises or misunderstandings later.
Your input is invaluable to the creative process. By taking the time to communicate your ideas clearly, we can collaborate effectively and make your tattoo experience seamless, enjoyable, and truly personal.
Long projects, including tattoos requiring full-day or multiple-day sessions, involve a unique planning and booking process to ensure the highest quality outcome.
Booking and Scheduling:
Full-day sessions typically last between 6 to 7 hours, depending on the scope and your comfort.
Multi-day projects will be divided into multiple sessions, each booked separately to accommodate your schedule and the work required.
Due to the extended time and resources involved, long projects require advance booking and deposit commitments for each session.
Pricing:
Long projects start at a base rate of $1,000 per full-day session.
Pricing reflects the design complexity, materials, and skill required — not solely the hours spent tattooing.
Custom quotes will be provided after consultation to reflect the full scope of the work.
Session Preparation and Commitment:
It’s important to be well-rested, hydrated, and prepared for longer sessions to ensure the best experience and results.
Please respect the scheduled times, as rescheduling or cancellations may incur additional fees due to the planning and resources involved.
Rescheduling and Cancellations:
Due to the complexity and length of these sessions, cancellations or rescheduling must be communicated at least 14 days in advance to avoid forfeiting deposits.
Last-minute changes may result in partial or full loss of deposit, depending on circumstances.
Collaboration & Communication:
Regular communication will be maintained to align on design progress and session scheduling.
I am committed to delivering a high-quality tattoo experience that respects your vision and physical comfort.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment — together, we’ll create a piece that’s truly exceptional.
Cover-up tattoos are a special kind of magic — they take extra time, planning, and skill to transform an old tattoo into something new and beautiful. Because of the added complexity, they’re priced higher than standard tattoos.
Why cover-ups cost more:
Design complexity – Your new tattoo needs to both hide and blend with the existing ink while still looking stunning.
Extra time – More adjustments and detailing are needed to achieve the best possible result.
Specialized expertise – Cover-ups require unique skills to make the old tattoo disappear seamlessly into the new design.
Important to Know
Cover-ups often mean adjusting your original vision. Sometimes, it’s not possible to cover the old tattoo exactly as you imagined without compromising the final look.
Please be open-minded. If you’re not comfortable with a design that differs significantly from your first idea, I recommend:
Laser removal – Fading the old tattoo gives more creative freedom.
Revamp – A simpler refresh instead of a full cover-up.
What’s a Revamp?
A tattoo revamp means enhancing or updating your existing tattoo without fully covering it. This can include:
Reworking details – Sharper lines, new elements, or improved shading.
Colour refresh – Bringing faded colours back to life.
Selective cover – Hiding certain parts while keeping others.
Restyling or extending – Expanding into a larger or more cohesive piece.
It is not possible to significantly refine lines, colours, shapes, and possibilities are limited according to the specific existing tattoo.
Bottom line: Not every idea will work for a cover-up, so flexibility is key. My goal is to make sure your new tattoo not only hides the old one but also becomes something you’re proud to wear for years to come.
If you have any questions or concerns while preparing for your tattoo appointment, please feel free to contact me directly. I’m happy to provide specific recommendations tailored to your session.
Please note:
Smoking marijuana, using THC products, or consuming alcohol before or during your tattoo appointment is not appreciated.
Do not consume these substances the day before or the day of your appointment.
If there are signs of intoxication during your session, your appointment will be rescheduled, and your deposit will be forfeited.
This policy is in place to ensure your safety, the quality of your tattoo, and a professional environment.
Important Notice About Alcohol & Cannabis Use
You might think that using weed or alcohol before your tattoo will help with pain management, but in fact, these substances can make you more sensitive to pain and increase discomfort during the session.
Additionally, alcohol thins your blood, which can cause excessive bleeding and make it unsafe and difficult for the artist to work.
If I notice signs of intoxication or recent consumption (behaviour, smell, or others) of alcohol or cannabis during your appointment, your session will be cancelled, and your deposit will be forfeited.
This policy is in place to protect your health and to ensure the best possible tattoo outcome.
Thank you for understanding and respecting this guideline.

Please keep clothing choices in mind to accommodate for the location of your tattoo. Your attire will also help with your comfort levels through the duration of the tattoo procedure. If you’re getting tattooed on your leg, wearing shorts or loose sweat pants would be an appropriate choice. If you have concerns about how to accommodate for your placement, please reach out to your artist directly for advice.
If you're tattooing back, ribs or torso area you will be requested to remove your shirt or similar if those are in the way of the tattoo. It is recommended to bring a bikini or a bra that leave the area to be tattooed with free access to the artist. DO NOT WEAR WHITE/EXPENSIVE CLOTHES. Avoid wearing white, expensive or any clothes that will be close to the area to be tattooed, or that you would care to get possible ink damage. Your artist is already worried about performing a good job it is not fair to add an extra stress factor of worry about damaging your clothes.
If you cancel or decide to end your tattoo session halfway through:
The full agreed amount for that appointment will still be charged. This fee compensates for the time, effort, and materials already invested in your session.
Returning to Complete Your Tattoo: If you choose to return at a later date to finish your tattoo, additional charges will apply. These cover:
New supplies are required for the new session.
Extra time and effort to re-prepare and adjust the design for the updated timeline.
Studio costs associated with rebooking your appointment.
The artist’s time and scheduling to accommodate your revised plan.
Example:
Original Booking: $800 for a 5-hour tattoo session.
Midway Cancellation: Full $800 charge applies if you stop halfway through.
Returning to Complete: Additional fees (e.g., $100–$200) will be added to cover materials, design adjustments, and rebooking costs.
This policy ensures fair compensation for the artist’s time, resources, and dedication, while still offering you flexibility to resume your tattoo when you’re ready.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
Your health and safety are of utmost importance when getting a tattoo. Below are the detailed policies to ensure the process is safe and informed for all parties involved:
Medications and Health Considerations
Avoid getting tattooed if you are currently taking medications such as:
Antibiotics
Accutane, Minomycin, or other Tetracycline-related medications
Blood thinners (consult your medication's specifics)
Aspirin
These medications can alter your body’s natural state, potentially causing:
Rejection of pigment
Lesions or adverse skin reactions
Discoloration
Excessive bleeding, which may hinder proper pigmentation
Action Required: If you are on any of these medications, inform the artist before your appointment. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your appointment, loss of deposit, and possible rescheduling.
Medical Conditions
You may not be eligible for a tattoo if you have any of the following conditions:
Heart conditions
Diabetes
Hemophilia
HIV or Hepatitis
Severe allergies
Epilepsy
Pregnant or nursing (6 months postpartum or less, including post-weaning)
Currently undergoing cancer treatments
Action Required: Before booking an appointment, it is mandatory to obtain written approval from your physician. This ensures that you are medically cleared for the tattoo process.
Omission or Concealment
If you withhold or fail to disclose any medical condition or medication usage:
The artist reserves the right to refuse the service.
Your deposit will be forfeited.
Legal action may be taken if concealment results in harm or damages.
Age Restriction
Juliany Braga strictly adheres to the legal age for tattoos and will not tattoo anyone under 18 years old, even with parental consent.
Waiver Requirement
All clients will be required to sign a waiver document before proceeding with their appointment. This document will include acknowledgment of these policies and other important information.
By proceeding to book an appointment, you agree to adhere to this policy. Your cooperation ensures a safe and professional tattoo experience for everyone.
For the best experience—for both you and your artist—please consider attending your tattoo appointment alone or limiting your guests to one person only.
While your friends might think it will be fun to watch, tattoo sessions can be long, quiet, and sometimes uncomfortable to observe. Guests often end up bored, and having extra people in the studio can be distracting for both the artist and the client.
If you must bring someone, please check with the artist first to make sure it’s okay. Encourage your guest to explore nearby or enjoy a coffee while you’re being tattooed, especially for longer sessions, so they don’t end up waiting inside for hours.
If a larger group arrives, some members may be kindly asked to wait outside to maintain a calm, focused atmosphere. Please be mindful of noise and distractions—Juliany is autistic and can become overwhelmed, which may affect her ability to perform at her best.
Keeping the environment calm and respectful helps ensure you get the best possible tattoo experience.
I offer one free touch-up within the first 6 months after getting your tattoo. This helps ensure your tattoo looks vibrant and fresh for years to come.
It’s important to understand that the longer you wait to get a touch-up, the more the inks settle and fade due to factors like sun exposure. Because of this, the touch-up isn’t just for fixing missed lines or small patches of colour—it’s to maintain the overall integrity and vibrancy of your tattoo. I strongly recommend scheduling your touch-up within 6 months of your original tattoo date.
When Touch-Ups May Have a Fee
A fee may apply if:
The original tattoo was done by another artist.
The tattoo shows visible signs of picking, itching, or scratching during healing.
Aftercare instructions were not followed correctly.
More than 6 months have passed since the original tattoo.
How to Request a Touch-Up
Please use the touch-up form on the website. This helps me assess the tattoo and provide the best care moving forward.
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to all the policies outlined on this website. These policies are provided with full transparency to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding.
Clients are strongly encouraged to carefully read all policies and ask any questions before booking.
Please note that your appointment is only confirmed once the required deposit has been received.
I reserve the right to update, modify, or amend these policies at any time to reflect changes in my practice or circumstances. It is the client’s responsibility to review the most current policies on the day of their appointment to stay informed of any updates.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Please be aware that policy updates may occur without direct notice. Always check the policies on your appointment day.
